Crouch speed, is WAY too slow.
From my understanding this game was attempting to be a bit more tactical, more Battlefield like. Well, as it stands right now, Nobody crouches behind something, cause if they do, they magically turn into a snail.
So we all just run around like a chicken with our heads chopped off, with zero taking cover.
The Only People who crouch are snipers, cause they don't have to move.
My suggested change to this, is that instead of whatever we are doing now, I think maybe like down the walk speed to a fourth, down walk speed to 3/4ths, so We can move whenever we take cover.
tl;dr, Make crouch Speed 3/4 of walk speed. |

tl;dr, Make crouch Speed 3/4 of walk speed. You can crouch in DUST?????..... Press triangle... You'll see why no one crouches. |

i would like to move a little faster while crouched though...
and i seem to be the only one that doesnt act invincible on the game..prot nubs do it all the time because they r next to invincible.. we should change that... Please stop trieing to derail my thread John.
Please Stop.
You'll Have MMing. and then you wont have to worry about Protobears, now will you?
This is about Crouch speed, my friend, and how it needs to be bumped up, so we aren't Kneeling Man-Sized Snails whenever we press Triangle. |

tl;dr, Make crouch Speed 3/4 of walk speed. 1/2 speed at best. What is the current speed? I use crouch all the time. Sniping benefits from it as do Heavy weapon accuracy. Although with its current speed I rarely move when crouched. Only when trying to remain hidden. If you try to walk about when crouched, your speed just I gone.
I bet you probably move at like 1-2 Meters per second.
Its just, so freaking slow...... |

Yes John, you did.
But, instead of commenting, and making a good comment on whether or not you like increasing crouch speed is good,, or not, you go rambling on about Protobears, and how they thin their invincible. |

Zan Azikuchi wrote:I agree and disagree while crouching does give a form of accuracy amp (Not as significant as it should be) increasing crouch speed would only be good for shotgunners and AR runners since a light would take 1/3 reduction ( assuming you ment runners have 3/3 and decrease by one making it 2/3). Not alot of players would benefit cause, mainly, you got CoD brats going around gun running and Battlefielders that try to yolo they're to victory, But on the upside increased crouch speed would benefit the big top corporations they're shotgunners and AR boys as said earlier above and i(ignore this last bit if you want) If caldari could shield cloak and if gallente could adaptive armor camouflage would be great for Lights (Oh and Clone, if get stomped 10 times, word of advice, bring better gear and avoid: Nyain Chan, What The French, Grupo De Asalto Chacal, many other pro-proto stompers) I think that it would help all the users of weapons.
It would let SGers get closer being a bit safer as you said, but would also be so every class can maneuver in a more stealthful manner.
Lets take NKers.
They fit pure speed mods cause one is that scanning is broke, and its pointless to fit anything else, but also they cant sneak efficiently. Trying to sneak past an enemy patrol to knife somebody is incredibly hard considering that by the time the knifer manages to get to the end of cover, the patrol has already passed and gone on to the next obby.
There's no point in trying to sneak as either, you'll magically light up on somebodies tacnet, or you move so slow they find you and grind you into little bits of metallic paste.
How bout AV?
With faster Crouch, they can get into a position behind a tank, and hit its weak spot easier (As if they need it easier.... I AV, and its just too easy to give vehicles hell)
I think it will help everybody, and help make more tactical battlefield choices less annoying, and more useful. |
